ASIAN PEARS

Twentieth Century, Best know of the Asian-Pears.  Skin smooth and thin, greenish-yellow, mottled with green.  Flesh white, fruity, slightly tart and quite juicy.  Also know as  Nijiseiki

Hosui, They are called the apple pear, but in spite of the fact they are crisp when ripe, their texture and flavor is different from apples.  They are juicy and crisp, with a milder flavor. Golden-brown russet skin with fine texture flesh with subtle flavor.

APPLES

Paula Red, a red fall apple that matures in summer, Paula Red has beautiful solid red blush color far ahead of other apples.  Stores well.  Flavor is tart, light to creamy flesh and is equally good for eating, sauces or pies

Royal Gala, very sweet, firm, and exciting.  Red Delicious and Cox’s Orange Pippin are grandparents and Golden Delicious is a parent.  Folks with a sweet tooth, Gala is the best.  Great desert apple. Children love them,  Yellow-orange skin with red stripes.

Maiden Blush, beautiful apple of pale lemon-yellow color with crimson blush.  Flesh is white, sprightly, quality good.

Ozark Gold, its cream-color semi-firm flesh is high in quality and flavor.  The fruit is similar in shape, size and color to Golden Delicious, but is more russet-free and matures early.  Great for eating out of hand.

Jonathan, tart, rich, real apple flavor.  Offspring of Esopus Spitzenberg, firs described in 1826.  May Midwesterners consider Jonathan the best flavored apple in the world.

Jonalicious, flavor equal to the richness of Jonathan but a little less tart.  Larger, crisper, and jucier than Jonathan, and a better keeper.  One of our best selling apples, excellent for apple pie.

GRAPES

Concord, known as the jelly grape, blue black, medium in compact clusters.
